Create an infographic that shows the historical and cultural development of one aspect of visual technologies. Do an online search for "create infographics" to find free services that will generate an infographic for you. Here are some examples of existing infographics about the history of technology to inspire you.
Think about:
- What kinds of graphs and charts make sense?
- What is easy to say using an infographic? What is difficult or impossible to say in this genre?
In addition to making the infographic, write a bit in your private writing journal about your experience with writing in this genre. We will discuss our results and experiences in class.
This assignment will take quite a bit of time, as you will have to research the history of a visual technology and figure out how to make the infographic. The intention is that both these things will be useful for you in the rest of this course and in your future careers.
