How to get user support

If you need help with something related to My UiB, you can contact the user support group.

There are 3-4 people who can answer questions and offer advice. We prefer that you contact us via UiBhjelp.

Within UiBhjelp, you can search for Mitt UiB in the search field. Then, you will find the service called Mitt UiB, with the associated contact form. You can also reach us via the Hjelp button in Mitt UiB. For all enquiries, you should provide information about the subject in question, which semester, what kind of role you have in that subject, which functionality or service you have problems with, and a link to the page you are on.

Learning support is part of the Division of Student and Academic Affairs, and is located in the Learning Lab at Media City Bergen.

We are responsible for systems such as Mitt UiB, Videonotat, Tredjepartsportalen, and partly also Kaltura and Panopto.

Each faculty has superusers for Mitt UiB, and, in addition, there are also individual department superusers. These have a number of rights in the system and can help you with quite a lot. Get to know who you can contact at your faculty.

Mitt UiB is the University of Bergen's version of Canvas. Canvas is used by many countries around the world, in many languages. Their user manuals are therefore available in several languages. With simple searches on the web, you can therefore get hits on much of what you are wondering about, but remember that UiB uses an open source version where we do not have all the functionality you find in ordinary Canvas.
