On UiB's Employee Pages you will find Guidelines for Privacy and data protection on digital platforms. There you will also find separate guidelines for digital clinical teaching and treatment in the health professions. Panopto must not be used for sensitive data.

Lectures and similar teaching are by default open, and therefore unproblematic to save in Panopto. What you need to be careful with is data that could cause damage to UiB, individuals or partners.

UiB's guidelines distinguish between asynchronous teaching where only the teacher participates, and synchronous teaching in which the students participate. Asynchronous teaching does not require any special measures, while in synchronous teaching the students should be informed about the use.

Panopto is a cloud based service, which is not considered secure enough to store sensitive personal data. Within Mitt UiB, the service must therefore be limited to so-called green (open) or yellow (restricted) data. Videos that you want to make publicly available must only contain green data.
