Section 7 - What matters

It's what you can do in the future, based on your competence, that matters. 
If you have limited work experience, think broadly about your qualifications.

You might want to focus on experience from volunteer or social engagement. Make it real by describing what activity you did and perhaps what you learned or what competence you gained. 

 

We often describe experience only by workplace and title, and not so much as task and personal development. Try using the formula below to narrate your employment service:

Activity

Active in student organization.

Action

Organizing meetings, seminars.

Giving speeches, organizing campaigns.

Learning points

Leadership and teamwork. 

Project management.

Communication.

 

Example:

As public relation manager in the student association, I was responsible for organizing campaigns and seminars. I learned project management and teamwork and got to practice my communications skills
