The 30 second challenge
Usually, CVs are not read word for word, but scanned.
Readers will often scan your academic CV for less than a minute.
It is therefore critical that your CV is laid out with relevant information so that readers can judge from a scan, that you have the requisite skills and expertise to be competitive for the opportunity you are applying for.
The 30 second challenge is a quick practical exercise that can help you identify whether or not your CV conveys critical information in an easily readable format.
