Assess the website

Several news channels and websites have focused on the story about the plastic sea. Some of these wish to expose or debunk the story by portraying the whole plastic problem as a myth. But plastic in the ocean is a problem – so who are the senders behind such alleged myth-busting, and what agenda might they have?

You will now critically assess a website firstly through lateral reading and then by investigating the content of the website. Assess the sender's reliability and the credibility of the page. Open a new tab in your browser to google the information presented on the website.
