Who offers completion seminar
A majority of the faculty's departments.
Organization
Can be a committee with internal members only or a mix of both internal and external members. The supervisor attend the seminar.
Purpose
- Help the candidate to cross the finish line
- Increase the thesis quality
- Focus on how the components of the thesis accounts for the thesis as a whole
- Sharpen the arguments
- Training in dissemination
- Help identify key contributions to the research literature
Be cautious of the time limit of the candidate due to the contract period.
