ADMISSION - WHO?

As a supervisor you will meet three groups of candidates.

Candidates employed in a research fellowship position at the faculty (about 60 % of our candidates), candidates  employed elsewhere (about 38 % of our candidates), and a small category, students with scholarships (about 2 % of our candidates).

Common for all are the admission requirements:

  • Normally a Master's degree of 120 ECTS
  • including an independent work of at least 30 ECTS
  • and adequate and relevant training in methods
  • The minimum grade requirement is usually a B, both for the independent work and the Master’s degree as a whole.
  • Applicants must be fully financed for at least 3 years from an employment position or a scholarship. Self-funded candidates are not admitted
  • A PhD is normally a full time activity, but it is possible to plan for a period of maximum 6 years (50 % progress)
  • Applicants must submit a project description
