To be appointed to supervise a PhD candidate you need to have a doctoral degree or equivalent academic competence within the subject area, and be an active researcher.
The candidate should as a rule have two supervisors.
At least one of the appointed supervisors should normally have previous experience of supervision of candidates at the PhD level.
The main supervisor should normally be employed at the Faculty of Social Sciences.
