I want to set up a Zoom video seminar in Mitt UiB
If you haven't already completed the following two steps, please go through them before you proceed:
- Initial setup of Zoom on your computer (log in to UiBhjelp)
- First login to Zoom from Mitt UiB (same as above, but look at the bottom of the page)
Setting up a Zoom Video Seminar
Click on "Video Seminar" and then "Schedule a New Meeting".
Give your Zoom seminar a title, description (optional), date/time and duration. Other recommended settings include:
- Registration: Not required.
- Video: Turn on for Host and Participant.
- Meeting Options: Turn on "Mute participants upon entry".
Please note that Passcode is mandatory for all UiB Zoom meetings, and cannot be changed.
Click "Save". Your video seminar is now listed in the Upcoming Meetings tab in Mitt UiB, visible to all course members:
If you want the video seminar to be included in the course course calendar, you must set up a calendar event manually with the meeting link:
