Alt elektrisk utstyr skal være intakt, forsvarlig plassert og virke forskriftsmessig. Skjøteledninger skal som hovedprinsipp ikke benyttes. Rengjør og vedlikehold utstyret iht. leverandørens anbefalinger, da feil bruk av elektrisk utstyr er en vanlig brannårsak.
